About the Project

Equal Play is an Erasmus+ Sport project that promotes the social inclusion of migrants and refugees through sport. The project supports coaches, sport organisations, NGOs, and local communities in creating welcoming, safe, and inclusive sport environments where everyone feels valued and respected.

Through practical training pills, learning tools, and open-access resources, Equal Play helps sport facilitators better understand participation barriers, intercultural communication, inclusive coaching practices, and community collaboration. The project aims to strengthen the role of sport as a tool for belonging, connection, and positive social integration across Europe.

The project objectives include:

  • Promoting social inclusion and belonging through sport activities

  • Improving intercultural understanding and respectful communication

  • Supporting coaches and facilitators with practical inclusion tools

  • Identifying and reducing barriers to participation in sport

  • Encouraging active participation and community engagement

  • Strengthening cooperation between sport organisations and local support networks

  • Sharing inclusive practices and open-access learning resources across Europe

Through these objectives, Equal Play contributes to more accessible, inclusive, and socially connected sport communities.

Project Partners
